Joshua Carl, Editor-in-Chief
Hey y’all! My name is Joshua Carl and I’m a senior here at Southwest. This is my second year in Mass Media and I cannot wait to be your Editor-in-Chief and work alongside everybody to embrace our skills and connect as a group!
At Southwest, I’m involved almost exclusively in the vocal music program, including Varsity Concert Choir, Resonance Show Choir (I play a lead!), and Hawktet (select varsity mixed a capella group). I’m also involved in Silver Hawk Theatre, as an actor, crew member, and a part of Drama Club as President.
Outside of school, I am a Statewide Thespian Officer (STO) for the Nebraska Thespians chapter as the PR/Social Media captain, along with a slew of other hobbies that I barely have time for, including music (Josh Carl on Spotify) and photography (I own a business!). In May 2025, I was honored as one of ten finalists in the country for the Jimmy Awards Student Reporter Search, and you can see my application video here!
