On Friday, Jan. 30, from 6- 7 p.m. Student Council is set to host the annual Silver Hawk Feud. This event will be held in the LSW auditorium and will have an admission price of five dollars. All proceeds from Silver Hawk Feud support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“The reason we have these events is because we want our student body to feel connected as a community,” sophomore Harnoor Sidhu said. “This is a great event to bring friends and family so we can all cheer on those who are competing.”
In this event, groups around the school form teams, including teachers, music, clubs and athletics. These teams face off against each other to answer questions for points, inspired by the popular TV show Family Feud. Each team has five members from different grades. The teachers team also has teachers that teach different subjects.
“The event will support Make-A-Wish and help provide amazing experiences for children with critical illnesses,” senior Claire Timperley said. “There are lots of different questions asked at the competition and the answers are from a student body survey.”
There are a variety of categories of questions asked to the contestants. Some of those categories include lifestyles, foods and random situations that someone might find themselves in.
“We want everyone to enjoy themselves and come back feeling that it was a Friday evening well spent,” Sidhu said. “The Silver Hawk Family Feud committee has worked tirelessly to make this a successful event and we can’t wait for everyone to attend.”
