Welcome to The Hawk, home of news, opinions, entertainment, and more at Lincoln Southwest High School.

The Hawk is operated by students in the Mass Media Communication class at Southwest (26711/26712), and is overseen by adviser Ms. Delani Young. Together, they strive to write weekly stories and keep the students of Southwest and the public in the know. The Hawk covers everything throughout the school, including clubs, concerts, classes, and everyday life.

The online version of The Hawk newspaper was created in 2017 by former adviser Mrs. Brandi Benson, and there is a yearly magazine edition written and designed by the students in the second semester of the school year.  The 2025/26 editor-in-chief is senior Joshua Carl.
