The varsity Lincoln Southwest swim and dive teams are hosting Norfolk in their last home meet of the year for Senior Night on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 4:00 p.m.

“It’s been cool watching people grow up from when I was a freshman and watching how different they were compared to us,” senior Addie Sanchez said. “I liked growing with the rest of my team and watching all my friends all around me also grow and turn into the people they are now.”

The meet starts with the dive team competing first at 4:00 p.m. and then the swim team competes at 5:00 p.m. in a total of 12 events including the 200-Medley Relay, the 200-Freestyle, and the 400-free relay.

“I’ve been on the dive team since freshman year. It has been fun. This year was a little more difficult because I was really the only one doing it (diving),” senior Seth Blaser said. “I’ve enjoyed my time on the team.”

The 18 seniors graduating will go through a tunnel with their relatives to get recognized for being part of the swim and dive team.
