The Silver Hawk Theatre department is holding their annual Valentine’s Day Flower sales from now until Friday, Feb. 11.

Flowers are available for purchase in the morning before school, after school and during all three lunches at the table set up in the commons near the concession stands.

“Flower sales are our second biggest fundraiser behind the craft fair,” junior Jack Thielen said. “It is a great way to let people know that you care about them while raising money for the theatre department.”

Roses are sold for $5 and carnations for $3. To get a flower, students will pay the price of the flower and then fill out a slip of paper at the table with the person who they want to send it to as well as the note they want to attach to the stem.

“My contribution, even if it is as small as the price of a flower, goes a long way,” freshman Jada Frank said. “It is a nice gesture for the person who you get it for and it helps the theatre.”

Flowers will be available for pickup on Monday, Feb. 14 after school. If a flower has been purchased for a student, they will get a note in their second block class prompting them to pick it up after fourth block.

The money raised from the fundraiser will go towards the department’s trip to the International Thespian Festival in June.
