On Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m, Lincoln Southwest (LSW) varsity concert choir will be performing at the Lied Center For Performing Arts with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. The choir will rehearse with the symphony on Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Lied.
“Being on stage with a professional orchestra is really cool,” sophomore Jeremiah Keele said. “I like the song, ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ because of the melodies.”
This concert is the Lincoln Symphony’s Holiday Concert called, Deck The Halls, so the choir will accompany them with Christmas carols.
“My favorite song we sing is called ‘Nutcracker Jingles,’” junior Anna Deutsch said. “It’s nutcracker songs but with the words of ‘Jingle Bells.’”
