On Friday, May 17, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Senior Sunset will be by the tennis courts at Lincoln Southwest in the parking lot. Student Council (StuCo) has organized Senior Sunset and the activities such as Corn Hole, Spike Ball, Connect Four and other yard games for seniors to play. There will be Kona Ice.
“It would be a fun event to go with your senior friends and close out the end of the year with everyone,” StuCo member senior Emma Gross said.“I’m looking forward to spending time with my friends and enjoying the time together before we all graduate.”
This is the first year Lincoln Southwest is holding Senior Sunset.
“StuCo thought it would be a really good idea to do a Senior Sunset to change it up,” StuCo senior member Lucy Carey said. “I think having multiple events like this at different times is helpful for seniors to attend.”
Seniors are recommended to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on since they will not be provided.
“Since this is my last year here, I’m gonna miss all my friends and getting to go to sporting events and support each other,” Lucy Carey said. “At Senior Sunset I want to hang around with my friends and just enjoy our last times together.”
At the beginning of the year, StuCo held Senior Sunrise for all the seniors to start off their last year together at LSW. They played games as well and hung out with their friends.
“I am excited to go with all my friends and I went to Senior sunrise. So it will be a nice conclusion to wrap up the end of the year,” senior Isaak Hogeland said. “It is a fun way to bond with all the people that have gone to our school.”
