This past weekend, the boys reserve and junior varsity basketball teams competed in their respective LPS City Tournaments.

The reserve team defeated Lincoln Southeast in the championship game on Saturday, Feb.19 at Lincoln East High School with a score of 63-48.

“We took each game one at a time,” sophomore Carson Wogahn said. “We had six guys which made it kind of difficult to play all of the minutes, but we stuck with it.”

The JV team played Lincoln Northeast in the championship game on Monday, Feb. 21 at Lincoln Northeast High School and ended with a score of 69-56.

“We wanted to work together as a team and really communicate on the floor,” sophomore Reid Nagel said. “We had a goal of going undefeated and keeping our positive energy helped us to a successful season. I really enjoyed the season with these guys, we all showed a lot of integrity and battled through a lot.”
