Finals schedule

John Robert, Writer

This week due to multiple factors, including the Pandemic and finals, Southwest has an altered schedule.

Monday and Tuesday proceeded as normal with A and C-day students coming in person and B-day and Z-day students on Zoom. But Wednesday A and C-day students will come in person, while B and Z students will stay at home. While in-person days on Wednesdays rotate between A and B every week, due to the modified schedule, B-day students will go to school in person and A-day students will be online for two consecutive Wednesdays.

On Thursday, A-day students and Z -day students will have their block one finals from 9 to 10:30 AM and their block two finals from 10:45 to 12:15, after which time school will be dismissed. A-day students will be coming in-person, while Z-day students will do their finals remotely. B and C students will not have school on this day.

On Friday, it will be the exact opposite. B-day students and C-day students will have their block one finals from 9 to 10:30 AM and their block 2 finals from 10:45 to 12:15. A and Z students will not have school on this day.

“I’m a fan of it because it gives me a three-day weekend to prepare for my 3rd and 4th block finals, which are my hard classes,” junior Isahen Harms said,

Monday, A-day students and Z-day students will have their block three finals from 9 to 10:30 AM and their block four finals from 10:45 to 12:15 when school will be dismissed. A-day students will be coming in-person, while Z-day students will do their finals remotely. B and C students will not have school on this day.

Tuesday, B-day students and C-day students will have their block three finals from 9 to 10:30 AM and their block four finals from 10:45 to 12:15 when school will be dismissed. A and Z students will not have school on this day.

“Not being a teacher, I haven’t looked at it that closely, so I’m not understanding the reason for the switch,” Media Secretary Karen Campbell said. “But I think most of the students are dealing with it fine.”
