De-Stressing for the PreACT

The sophomores will be taking the PreAct on Thursday, Nov. 7 and State Volleyball Tournaments will follow later that day. 

 

The sophomores will have to bring their ID’s, extra pencils and an approved calculator. 

Students will also have to bring the worksheet received in the mail filled out, as well as their grade report that was also sent in the mail. 

 

“I’m nervous about geometry and biology because I’m not strong in those areas,” said sophomore Eliana Wayoro. “I struggled with cell division and DNA replication in Biology.”

 

The test will be a total of 2 hours and 50 mins. They will be tested over math, social studies, english and science. Students may ask their teachers for PreACT practice worksheets. 

 

Preparing for the PreACT may improve your chances of doing well on the test. Some ways to prepare would be getting rest the night before and eating well the morning of. 

 

“Number 1, get a good night’s sleep. Number 2, eat a good breakfast,” said Administrator Travis Brady. “Number 3, take it seriously. For a lot of students this is going to be their only prep. Absorb the experience because that’s what their going to have to fall back on.”

 

Freshmen, Juniors and Seniors have the day off due to State Volleyball Tournaments later that day.
