College representatives will be visiting to meet with potential future students and share information.

The upcoming colleges will be:
University of Chicago on Thursday Sept. 16, 2021, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
University of Nebraska on Thursday Sept. 23, 2021, from 9:00-10:45 a.m.
Northwest Missouri State University on Wednesday Oct. 6, 2021, from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
UNK on Thursday Oct. 7, 2021, from 1:30-3:00 p.m., and Drake University on Monday October 25, 2021, from 12:45-1:30 p.m.

To sign up for a meeting, juniors and seniors can go to their class Google Classroom and fill out the College Rep Visit Signup Form.

“You get to know the people that work there and they get to tell you the gist of college and the dynamic of the college and see if it fits you,” senior Van Foster said. “I visited UNL and that’s it, that’s where I’m going. It was cool.”

As of right now, visits will be all in person at the school, however students can always attend the EducationQuest virtual college fair if they feel more comfortable with remote visits.

“If they’re not physically coming here to visit, I would recommend reaching out to them otherwise,” counselor Anders Peterson said. “Whether that’s emailing them or they usually have some kind of form you can submit, like an interest form.”
Peterson said that colleges will typically send you materials or connect you with whoever your person would be.

“If it’s a local school, you can obviously go physically visit, too. Ultimately, you want to make sure you do an on campus visit any place that you’re considering going to make sure it’s what you think it is,” Peterson said.

There is a linked document on their class Google Classroom of frequently asked questions students might have about the college visits.
