Advanced Placement (AP) testing will take place from May 2 to May 12.

“At Southwest we offer 19 AP classes. The best thing that a student can do to prepare is reach out to their AP teachers,” instructional coordinator Dr. Travis Brady said. “AP teachers hold review sessions in the weeks leading up to the AP Exam. Additionally, their teachers will be able to give them study-tips that are curriculum-specific, as well as any advice on flash cards or study books to purchase if they choose.

Testing rooms will vary depending on the amount of students who signed up for each exam. The Media Center, wrestling room and main office conference room may all be utilized. Students will take the pencil and paper tests at school on the assigned dates and times listed below.

“I’m taking the AP Calc test and I’m pretty nervous,” senior Eren Lewis said. “I’ve already started reviewing and I’m anxious to know what my score will be.”

AP scores will be made available to students in July.
