The “2020: One Year Later” magazine by the Southwest publications team is now available on Flipsnack to read virtually.

“For this edition of ‘The Hawk,’ we made an online version,” senior Eric Schultz, one of the contributors, said. “It makes for easier access and to help prepare for the next one.”

Bright signs are posted in the hallways with a QR code that, once scanned, will lead directly to the online magazine on the cell phone. It is not required to create a Flipsnack account in order to view the publication.

The magazine showcases how students and staff members adapted to life during the Coronavirus pandemic in different areas of interest and activities. There are 14 different perspectives from this past year ranging from athletes, performers, essential workers and former principal Dr. Mike Gillotti.

“It’s good to be in the magazine to represent the [Asian American Pacific Islander] community,” junior Steven Dao said. “Hopefully the readers will be inspired to stand against hate.”
