YMCA Before/After School Program

Being a part of the YMCA staff will allow you to interact and develop relationships with children. This is a fantastic job for you if you love being around kids and connecting with them. You should be 16 or older if you want this job. As a sandwich artist at Subway there are many things to do and it’s great if this is going to be your first job. You must greet and serve guests, prepare the food, and maintain food safety. Some responsibilities are: clean all areas of the restaurant, prepare food neatly and quickly, and know the items on the menu and be able to explain to guests what they are. Scheels is a good job for high schoolers because they will work and be flexible with your schedule. Cashiers learn about all areas of the business as customers purchase products from all the store. Schedules vary between 8am and 10pm, Monday through Saturday, 11am-7pm Sundays. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The average hours per week are 20-25. You also will process cashier transactions quickly, place styles, sizes and colors of product on the sales floor so they are available for the customer, be able to show customers to the fitting room, and pay attention to detail making sure all styles, sizes and colors are available.
