There will be a pep rally happening on Thursday, Sept. 16 in the main gym at 9:34 a.m..

During the pep rally, the cheer team and the Emeralds will perform, the school fight song will be performed, students will hear from the football team, and the Homecoming Court will be introduced. 

“We are trying to make this rally as traditional as possible, minus the masks,” head cheer coach Aliyah Westlund said. “We hope that this pep rally is an opportunity to bring back the school spirit we were missing last year and are so excited to have pep rallies back. Cheering is always more fun when the students are there to help us cheer our team on to victory.” 

The last Homecoming Pep Rally was held in 2019. Pep rallies after then were not able to happen due to the pandemic. 

“I haven’t gotten to perform in front of the whole school with the band yet,” sophomore Mimi Hoffman said. “I’m really excited to perform. It’s making me nervous but I’m still excited.”

The homecoming game will take place on Thursday Sept. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Seacrest Activity Complex. The homecoming dance will take place on Friday Sept. 17 at 8:00 p.m. in the Southwest commons.
