On Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 Lincoln Southwest boys varsity basketball beat Fremont 83-45 at Fremont High School. This was a rematch between the two teams who met earlier in the season when LSW won 81-55.

The Hawks were led by sophomore guard, Jared Bohrer, who scored 24 points including 5 three point field goals in the game.

“We moved the ball around well until we found the best shot possible,” said Bohrer. “My teammates did a great job of finding me when I was open.”

Excellent passing was a key for the Silver Hawks as the team recorded a new school record of 29 assists in the victory. This helped propel 13 different LSW players to get on the scoreboard in the win.

“I think our mindset as a team has shifted,” said Bohrer when asked about the way the Hawks passed the ball Thursday night. “We are trusting in each other more and it’s going to show.”

Southwest will look to continue the momentum against #8 ranked team in the state, Papillion South, on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at Lincoln Southwest High School with tip off at 5:15. Papio South is coming off a 69-51 victory against Omaha North.
