E-Wing fall performance

On Tuesday, Oct 5, freshman, mixed, varsity and chamber choirs as well as Silver Lining, and Hawktet performed at their annual fall concert in the auditorium. On Wednesday, Oct 6, freshman, prep, and varsity orchestra performed, as well as symphonic and wind ensemble band performed.

All six groups of choir performed several beautiful songs. The Hawktet performed a song called, “Stand in That River,” by Moira Smiley.

“We are an a cappella group consisting of eight total girls,” senior Gabrielle Roesch said.

“During our performance we were accompanied by Marci DeAmbrose on the guitar.”

First chair violinist senior Katie Wiesler performed a solo piece with variety orchestra, during the song called “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral,” by R. Wagner.

“It was definitely a nerve-wracking experience, but having the support of my group and team made it dwindle away,” Wiesler said. “It was all in all a great experience to be playing.”

Symphonic band performed three total songs, one of them being called, A Time to Dance,” by Julie Giroux.

“My favorite song we did was ‘A Time to Dance’ because it was a lot of fun to play,”  senior Shanley Smith said. “We practiced it a lot so I thought it sounded best out of our other songs.”

The next performance of E-wing will be the winter concert, which will be performed on Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
