Freshman Football Takes Victory over Northeast

The freshman football team won 44-13 against Northeast on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Last week, the team won against Lincoln High, 20-8. Freshman Logan Driver feels they improved from their last game.

“I don’t know what happened between the last game and this game, but it worked out.” Driver said.

The Hawks played well, but there is still improvements they can make. The team is looking to prevent more scoring from getting through.

“Half the time I think what they were doing to get through was we weren’t finishing our blocks, we weren’t driving through, we weren’t going all the way to prevent everything from getting through,” freshman Barrett Harre said. “Otherwise I think we did fairly well.”

The team’s next game is Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 5:00 p.m. The Hawks are facing East at home.
