Sophomores will take the PreACT on Thursday, Nov. 2. The test will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and will conclude around 11 a.m.
Students taking the test need to arrive by 7:45 a.m. They must bring extra No. 2 pencils, their student IDs, a basic functions calculator, a bottle of water and their printed out and prefilled worksheet which will be emailed to them by Dr. Travis Brady.
“Students who want to prepare can find practice tests on the ACT website,” Brady said. “They should get a good night’s rest the night before and eat a good breakfast the morning of.”
Scores for the test will be released to counselors approximately a month after the test takes place. Students can confer with their respective counselors to see which areas they can work on and develop a strategy for improvement.
For grades 9, 11 and 12 there will be no school on Thursday, Nov. 2.
