“We were definitely all starting to get worried because we were all like, ‘Oh my gosh, we just won two sets. don’t let them come back now,’” freshman Shaylee Myers said. “We were kind of freaking out but we just put our heads back in the game and figured it out.”

Head coach Mark Novotny is excited to see how the season plays out this year with the LSW

Varsity team having a whole new dynamic.

“We graduated five starters so our systems look completely different,” Novotny said. “We have four new players in the starting line up it’s just a different feeling different mentality.”

Varsity wasn’t the only Silver Hawk team to win Thursday night. Freshman, Reserve and JV also played. All levels had sweeping wins against Norfolk.

Varsity will have a volleyball triangular Tuesday at Lincoln Pius X against Pius x and Millard North at 7:00 p.m.
