The Lincoln Southwest girls varsity basketball team pushed their record to 16-3 with a victory over Columbus, 59-24, which was their 13 win at home.
“I think we are doing really good right now and working well together,” freshman Ansley Throener said. “Just getting better and continuing to get wins.”
Senior Kennadi Williams scored 19 points with two steals. Williams leads the team averaging 4.2 steals per game and was a 70 percent shooter against Columbus.
“I think we have a lot of confidence especially at home,” senior Kennadi Williams said. “We feel comfortable shooting on our own hoop, and I feel like its an advantage playing at home.”
Every player on the Hawk roster scored at least one point in the game. With the win, the team advances to 18-3 overall. The next game is on Feb.15 ,2024 at 5:15 p.m. at Kearney.
