LSW offers four different language classes, Spanish, Japanese, German and French. Students can sign up for these classes from Monday, Jan. 8, to Friday, Feb. 9.
“Lincoln Public Schools does not require students to take world language to fulfill graduation requirements,” counselor Ms. Kendall Schroer said. “However, most four-year colleges require at least two years for admission.”
Students can sign up for language classes by going to course request on Synergy. Simply press the button “Click here to change course requests” then search for the desired class and press add.
The most common language class taken at LSW is Spanish which is taught by Mr. Jesus Ruiz-Izaguirre, Mr. Christopher Bornman, Mrs. Susan Cornish, Mrs. Rosanne Navas and Mr. James Hill.
“I think students should take world language classes at LSW because they can be exposed to different cultures and ways of life,” Mr. Aaron Finley said. “Understanding how other people communicate is important in shaping a global community.”
LSW offers different language courses for students to choose and pick.
