On Wednesday, March 6, it will be the final chance to eat school lunch before Spring Break, as it is the last full day of the term. Student lunches at LSW vary from hot lunch, packed lunch from home and take out from restaurants. Juniors and seniors have the added option to leave school for lunch but must return for their following classes on time.
“I usually bring some sort of salad or sandwich and then fruit, vegetables and hummus,” sophomore Chloe Kreifles said. “I try to pack my lunches the night before but sometimes I have to do it the morning of.”
Many students have food dropped off at school for lunch as well.
“I have been getting lunch from outside of school this whole quarter, I think it is more nutritious,” sophomore Adeson Lee said. “My favorite places to get lunch outside of school are Jimmy Johns, Raising Canes and Chick-fil-A.”
The only lunch that doesn’t fluctuate is school hot lunch, which is served to students daily.
“My favorite school lunch meal is french toast sticks,” sophomore Zach Hirshbrunner said. “The variety that is offered everyday for lunch is the reason I chose to have school lunch.”
