On Saturday, Feb. 3, Lincoln Southwest (LSW) Show Choir will be holding their annual competition to raise money for the program. Lincoln Southwest Showdown is a western themed competition with schools from Nebraska and Iowa attending.
“All the charity money goes to cover the choreography costs for the year and some of the music for next year,” senior Will Niebuhr said. “Show choir will also try to get new shirts or anything that will help improve our show choir program at our school. ”
Admission for adults is $17, tickets for seniors (60 and over) cost $12 and K-12 and college students with their ID’s cost $10.
“Show Choir decided to host the Showdown because the school had the right layout for the Showdown and our school is in a good spot for other schools to compete,” junior Emery Kramer said. “I’m most excited spending time with my friends and meeting a lot of cool people from other schools who are into the same things as me.”
At the competition LSW Show Choir will help manage things at the Showdown. Students will be room hosts, help with concessions, assist judges and much more.
