Monday Dec. 4, was the first day of Lincoln Southwest’s annual Winter Week. Each day there is a corresponding theme for students and staff to dress up.
The event is run by Student Council (StuCo) and designed to lift the spirits of students as the semester comes to a close.
“Winter week is a way to get the students of Southwest involved and to celebrate the fact that the first semester of the school year is coming to a close,” StuCo member freshman Estes Stratman said. “I think we did a really good job coming up with themes for this week. My favorite theme is ‘Santa vs. Grinch.’”
The different themes are advertised on posters hanging around the building. Monday, Dec. 4, was themed Festive Sweater. Tuesday, Dec. 5, will be themed Hawk Pride. Wednesday, Dec. 6, will be themed Blue and White. Thursday, Dec. 7, will be themed Pajamas. Friday, Dec. 8, will be themed Santa vs. Grinch.
