The unified bowling team held its first practice on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Parkway Lanes. The players had the opportunity to meet each other and build team chemistry to prepare for the season.
“Practice was really fun and it was great to meet all the new freshmen and people involved,” junior Penelope Brown said. “I’m looking forward to it (the season). I like my team and we have a really good chance, so it’ll be exciting.”
Last season, the unified bowling team placed 5th at the Heartland Athletic Conference (HAC), 3rd at Districts and were City Champions.
“I’m excited to improve in (bowling) and spend more time with my teammates,” junior Harrison Schell said. “I will make sure that everyone is positive and has a good attitude towards what we are doing.”
Unified bowling will compete in its first match of the season against Lincoln East on Monday, Oct. 23, at Parkway Lanes at 3:30 p.m.
