The Valentine’s Day flower sale at LSW begins Thursday, Feb. 1, and continues until Tuesday, Feb. 13. Carnations are sold for $3 and roses are sold for $5. Purchasing flowers helps the Silver Hawk Theatre with costume rentals, supplies for sets and help bring their show to life. Students can buy flowers in the commons from 7:30 – 8 a.m., 3-3:30 p.m. and during lunch.
“Tis the season of love,” theatre director Mr. Austyn McKee said. “Students should buy flowers to show your love and thanks to those people in your lives who make you smile.”
Flowers can also be purchased on the Silver Hawk Theatre website.
“I am very excited that theatre is the one selling these flowers,” junior Katie Timmer said. “We get to deliver people a little bundle of happiness on Valentine’s Day and I’m excited to see people’s reactions to it.”
Students will receive a note to pick up purchased flowers after school on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
