Tickets are currently on sale for Silver Hawk theatre’s winter production, the musical Kinky Boots. Tickets cost $10 for students and $15 for adults and can be purchased at showtix4u.com by searching Kinky Boots. 

Kinky Boots will be performed on Dec. 2,3,4 and Dec. 9,10,11 in the auditorium. All showtimes are at 7:00 pm, except for an additional performance on Dec. 4, that will take place at 2:00 pm.

“I’m really enjoying the show, the people, and the atmosphere,” sophomore Ian Gouldie, who plays George, said. “I’m looking forward to performing for an audience.”

Kinky Boots is a musical based on the 2005 film of the same name, which was based on a true story. The story was written by Harvey Fierstein and the music was written by famed singer and songwriter Cyndi Lauper.

“Kinky Boots is an amazing show and I’ve had fun working with such an amazing cast and everyone needs to see it,”  senior John Greisen, who plays Charlie Price, said. “We’ve been working hard and I think that’ll show when we get to perform.”

The story centers around Charlie Price, the son of the owner of a failing men’s shoe business. After his father dies he takes over the seemingly hopeless business. After a tense altercation outside a bar, Charlie Price meets a drag queen named Lola, who gives him the idea to branch out the business to heels that could support the weight of men in a final attempt to save his family’s business.
