On Saturday, Feb. 19, the Lincoln Southwest improv team, the Silverware, will be giving its first ever performance at Southwest, The Silver Platter, in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is free for everyone.

The Silverware is comprised of seniors Ethan Olson, Zach Moeller, Ryan Richert, Alex Bjorman, Luke Peterson, Addison Stelzer and juniors Logan Finley and Samantha Hobelman.

“What we will do at our performance is send a few members on stage to act out a scene,” Silverware president Richert said. “We get suggestions from the audience about what we should base our scenes on like our location, a conflict or an object.”

Burke High School, Gretna High School, East High School and Westside High School will also be sending their improv groups to perform as well.

“I’m feeling really good about our performance,” Hobelman said. “It’ll be fun to see groups from other schools perform because I feel like improv is the most fun when you are with people who are also interested in improv.”

The improv club holds weekly meetings in the black box on Tuesdays at 2:15 p.m. and anyone is welcome to join.
