At Lincoln Southwest on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. all LSW show choirs will be performing for their last time this season in Nebraska. The 6:30 p.m. show is free admissions and first come, first serve. The 8 p.m. the show is reserved seating.
“I enjoy Resonance show choir because of the people and the environment. It’s such a fun place to be in and a unique experience that you can only find in show choir,” senior Carissa Sammons said. “Tonight, I’m very excited to perform. I’m glad we still get this opportunity and I’m sad to see it over.”
LSW has three show choirs, Resonance, the open division group, Ambience, the prep division group and Emergence, their non-audition prep division group. Echo is the band for all show choirs and Shadow is the crew. Resonance will be performing the show “Chicken Little,” Ambience will be performing “Disco” and Emergence will be performing “Sesame Street.”
“We add a lot of energy because so much of the background music is really loud. We get to play different types of music,” senior Aden Niebuhr said. “Echo is a great opportunity to get to meet new people.”
At the end of the 6:30 p.m. show, the seniors will receive a send off and thank you. Even though this is the last performance in Nebraska, all LSW show choirs will be traveling to Chicago, Illinois to compete on Saturday, March 9.
