On Friday, Dec. 1, the Southwest varsity bowling teams will have their first dual of the season at Parkway Lanes at 3:15 p.m. Both the boys and girls team will be competing against the Knights from Lincoln Southeast High School.
“We’ve been having a lot of fun at practice so I hope it helps this season,” sophomore Alaina Mosley said. “We want to win some of the tournaments.”
With three top finishers in the Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) Championships, and two finishers in the Top 15 at the Heartland Athletic Conference (HAC) tournament in their first season as a team during the 2022-2023 school year, the Hawks hope to continue their success in the upcoming season.
“My favorite thing about bowling is the people,” freshman Sawyer Bruggeman said. “It’s so much more fun with friends.”
Following the upcoming dual, Southwest will compete on Tuesday, Dec. 5 against Lincoln Northwest High School at Sun Valley Lanes at 3:15 p.m.
