On Sunday, Nov. 12, there will be a Veterans’ Day Parade at 2 p.m. starting at Lincoln High School (LHS) and concluding at the Capitol Building. Lincoln Southwest Marching Band will participate in the parade.
“The parade is a fun event to experience,” drum major senior Amelia Hoffman said. “Not only does our band get to perform, but we get to watch the other bands that are there as well.”
Southwest will perform alongside LHS, Lincoln Southeast High School (LSE) and Lincoln Northwest High School (LNW).
“We have performed at the parade before,” Mr. Aaron Farlander said. “This will be our fourth year in a row.”
The Southwest band will be the third band to perform in the parade, playing a compilation of drumline cadences, “Tribute to America” by Steve Barnett and the LSW Fight Song.
