On Friday, Jan. 5, and Sunday, Jan. 7, LSW improv team, known as The Silverware, competed at State and received second place, only losing by two points.
“I’ve enjoyed knowing that we have a good presence in the improv community,” senior Emma Gross said. “It’s given us a lot of confidence as a team.”
The Silverware have only been competing for five years and they have already won state back-to-back in 2022 and 2023. The first year they competed, 2019, they got third place and in 2021 they got second place.
“What makes Silverware successful each year is our ability to give each other feedback to make each other better,” senior Logan Finley said. “Me personally, I think team chemistry is the most important thing in Improv. You can be the funniest person but it’s going to make it hard to make a really good team if you aren’t enjoying the people you are around.”
LSW Improv will be hosting the Silver Platter Improv Show on Feb. 11, and will showcase other teams from across Nebraska, as well as feature special guests.
