With homecoming week underway, here’s a quick recap and what to expect the next few days. There are different themes to dress up for each day, the Hoco dance, and the game.

Theme Days

Students had Monday off, so the week began on Tuesday. The theme was Tropical Tuesday. Some students wore floral print shirt, a grass skirt, or tropical colors such as blue orange and green.

The theme for Wednesday was Western Wednesday. Students wore cowboy hats, cowboy boots, fringe or a simple plaid shirt.

Tomorrow will be Throwback Thursday. The seniors will wear 90s inspired attire, like mom jeans, or a 90s band tee. Juniors will be 80s, ripped tight jeans, or animal prints were popular in the 80s. Sophomores are the 70s like tye dye, high socks, or flowy pants. Freshmen will be wearing the 60s, such as polka dots, stripes, or collared shirts.

LSW Spirit Day finishes off the week. You can wear LSW merchandise, or Silver Hawk colors, silver, black and green.

The Game and Pep Rally

The pep rally will be on Friday at the beginning of second block. To prepare for the game in the afternoon The Emeralds dance team and LSW cheerleaders will also be performing.

The game starts at 4:30 p.m on Friday with the Hawks kicking off against East. The theme for the game will be frat.

Homecoming Dance

The homecoming dance will be in the LSW commons from 8:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m. The tickets were sold Tuesday, Wednesday and will be sold Thursday before or after school and during lunch. The theme for homecoming is Hoco Glow, which was decided by the Emeralds.
