Homecoming Tickets are Now on Sale

Homecoming tickets went on sale starting Tuesday for $10 in the bookkeeper’s hallway.

Tickets were available after school on Tuesday, and will be before and after school during lunches on Wednesday and before school and during lunches on Thursday.

“I’m very excited for homecoming this year,” senior Hannah Clanton said. “It’s my senior year and it’s the first school dance since quarantine and I am so ready to celebrate with my friends.”

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Friday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. and will go until 11 p.m. The theme is Under the Stars, and students who are bringing a guest from outside of Southwest must pick up a guest form and turn it in before purchasing a ticket. The forms are available in the main office.

“The process for bringing a guest was super easy,” senior Kolyn Beard said. “The administrators at Southwest signed it and then the administrators at Lincoln High signed it and returned it.”

The 2021 Homecoming Dance is the first dance that all students can attend since the Coronavirus pandemic started. Last year, there was not a homecoming dance and Prom was open for seniors only.
