The Genders and Sexualities Alliance Club (GSA) will have their first meeting on Monday, Aug. 28, from 3:15-4 p.m. in the black box theatre. The GSA leadership will be waiting outside to welcome members who are coming in. GSA will start this year with five sponsors, Mrs. Rosanne Navas, Mr. Austyn McKee, Ms. Brandi Benson, Dr. Angela Kramer, and Mr. Ryan Salem. 

“I’m super excited for this first meeting,” GSA president junior Lillian Bittle said. “I’m looking forward to meeting all the new people who are joining us. My favorite part about GSA is making sure that people have a safe place to be themselves.”

The first meeting will feature an introductory slideshow, icebreakers and other activities. 

“It’s a place where we don’t have to put up a front, because no one’s going to judge you there,” communications chair junior Anthony Aden said. “I’m looking forward to seeing the freshmen that were at our booth during the freshman day club fair.”

GSA is open to anyone who wishes to join.
