Freshman in the LPS district got new 2-in-1 chromebooks at the beginning of this year. The new chromebooks are touch screen and have two charging ports.

“Honestly its more fun having a touch screen, but I don’t think it was worth the money,” freshman Melisa Kulak said. “The old ones we had were just fine.”

The freshmen received them in 2016 but because they were slowing down and getting old, it was time for new chromebooks. While some students were excited others preferred the older chromebooks.

“I like the keyboard better on the old chromebook,” freshman Rochelle Harding said.  “The touch screen is fine but I don’t really care.”

One of the perks of the new chromebooks is the battery life.  The new chromebook batteries last much longer.

“The other chromebooks would go 1-2 days and these are 3-4. I haven’t charged my chromebook in a while and it’s still going.” said Melisa Kulak

While freshmen got the new chromebooks sophomore,  junior and seniors checked out the older chromebooks once again.

If you run into any problems with your chromebook go down to the media center to get them checked out.
