Crochet Club is a new club that will have their first meeting on Wednesday, March 6, and the following meetings will be on Wednesdays. It will be held in C113 across from the health office. At this first meeting, the club will talk about what students can expect from the club and the other meetings that will take place after Spring Break.
“Our goal is to have a project every month, and if students want to work on it they can,” co-sponsor Brandi Benson said. “I think crochet would be a low stress activity, it’s something that once you learn to do it, it doesn’t require a lot of thinking.”
It is available for students that want to learn how to crochet and for students that already know how to.
“I got into crocheting because one of my best friends was expecting a baby and I wanted to make her something heartfelt,” co-sponsor Ms. Caila Gans said. “After that, I would crochet during readiness days and some ladies were helping me out and asked if I could teach them, so the idea of the club blossomed way back in July.”
