As the 2023-24 school year comes to a close, Lincoln Southwest High School will be having their final exams on Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23. Blocks one and two will be having final exams on May 22 and blocks three and four will be having their final exams on May 23 from 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
“Going in with your teachers especially beforehand to get help before finals is very helpful,” senior Samantha Hobelman said. “I also think making sure you get all of your homework done is a good resource to study with.”
Block one finals will be from 9:15 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Once the block one final is done, there will be a 15-minute break from 10:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Block two final exams will take place once the break is over. The following day the finals for blocks 3 and 4 are going to take place, following the same schedule.
“One of the things that is most beneficial about finals is that it gives an opportunity for some students who may be on the edge of passing a class or the edge of getting a grade up in class,” administrator Mrs. Ashley Turner said. “It’s nice to have the morning to have extra study time and allow staff to get things organized.”
Doors will open before school at 7:00 a.m. for extra study time. If students need to make up any of their finals they can after school from 12:15-3:15 p.m. Summer Break will be starting after the second finals day is concluded.
