Southwest theatre is selling flowers for Valentine’s Day. Any student can buy a rose for $5 and a carnation for $3 before or after school and during lunch from Feb. 3 through  Feb. 13. Students will be able to pick them up on Feb. 14 before school in the theatre hallway by the auditorium. They will receive a pass during second block and can get them after school.

“I bought flowers for one of my friends and 12 other random people, because I thought it would be nice,” junior Leigha Moore said. “I bought 32 flowers and spent $160 on them.”

The stands where you can pay for your order are located in the lunchroom in front of the concessions stand and in front of the Theatre Box Office. Students can either stay anonymous or sign a note which will be attached to the flower. Flowers can be bought and gifted to anyone including your friends, girlfriends/boyfriends or yourself.

“If you deserve a flower  you can buy yourself a flower,” junior Dillon Richert said.

By buying flowers students support Southwest theatre program. All fundraised money will be spent on theatre productions.

“We are fundraising for different parts of theatre production because they cost a lot,” junior Emerson Eveleth said. “So we get cool props, new costumes or stuff like that.”
