Why are you retiring?

“I’m deciding to retire because I want to travel internationally and around the United States. I know it’s time for me to retire because I’ve been teaching for 33 years.” 

What are you going to do once you retire?

“In June I’m going to meet one of my daughters who’s traveling the world right now. We’ll be meeting in Greece, so that’ll be the first stop of my journey. I also want to go back to Europe next year.”

Why did you choose to join Lincoln Southwest?

“My husband and I used to live in South Sioux City, Nebraska, but we didn’t have any family there, so we decided to move down to Lincoln to work and live closer to our kids.”

What are you going to miss most about teaching?

“I’m going to miss interacting with the students and staff at LSW. Our community is very unique because of the amount of different personalities at our school.”

Why do you enjoy teaching?

“Knowing that I’ve helped many kids in some sort of way has been a very rewarding and positive experience for me.”
