Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and some students are scrambling trying to come up with date ideas this holiday. Here’s 10 activities to do with your significant other in Lincoln, Nebraska this Valentine’s Day.

1. Going to the movies is a classic date night activity for young couples. Southpointe and The Grand are two great movie theatres in the Lincoln area. Another alternative is making your own movie night at home. Some options include streaming a movie on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or youtube. Redbox is a great option as well usually found at walmarts, walgreens and CVS.
2. When the weather is nasty, a fun date idea is going to a trampoline park. Some of the most popular places include Urban Air at 2840 S.70th S. and Defy Gravity on 345 Sporting Village Dr. Going to a trampoline park can be super fun and inexpensive for any couple and can keep everyone entertained for hours.
3. Going out to dinner is also another date night classic. There are endless options for great restaurants around Lincoln depending on whatever the couple agrees on. You can go to a casual burger place downtown or dress up and go to a classier restaurant such as Wilderness Ridge or Vincenzo´s. It’s always a caring and romantic gesture to show your loved one how much you care.

6. Ivanna Cone found is a super cute date spot for teens and couples of all ages found in downtown Lincoln. They have tons of flavors of ice cream to choose from and a cool and fun aesthetic. From the neon lights and playful music it’s the perfect place to unwind and chill with your partner.
7. Going to see a play or musical is great for couples interested in arts & entertainment. Some amazing places to look for upcoming shows are Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre, The Lied Center and The Community Center.

9. Throwing a get together with other friends is a great way to work together and spend quality time with your partner. Picking the location, planning or making the food and picking the party activities can make it a super enjoyable experience for you and everyone coming to the party. It’s also nice for your single friends to be included in something during the holiday.
10. Donating blood isn´t only beneficial for your community but for your relationship. Giving to the community with someone you love can make you feel happy and fulfilled. Right now some high schools in lincoln including southwest are taking blood donations helping with scholarships. Even if you or someone you know doesn’t have a partner it’s still a thoughtful and caring thing to do for your community.
