Girls State Golf Recap

Girls Golf team takes fourth place at state. Next year they hope to place first.

On Tuesday Oct. 13, the Girls Golf team finished fourth place overall at the state competition at Norfolk.

The team finished with a score of 698. At state there is a ranking of all the players and senior Sade Steele finished twelfth overall.

“We were disappointed for not winning first place at the state competition,” Coach Jim Danson said. “For the past seven years we have placed first or been runner up. But for our team, I think we did well, especially considering how young our team is this year. All things considered, I am very proud of how they did this year. This only motivates us to do better next year.”

Although the golf season is now over, the Girls Golf team will be ready to take on the next season.
