Auditions for the 2022 varsity color guard will be held at Southwest in the band room on April 28 from 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

“It’s a great activity to join to learn new skills,” sophomore Jackie Stahnke said. “You get to make new friends along the way as well as getting to perform the new things you learn.”

Skills days will be held in the band room April 25 – 27 from 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Students will learn general flag technique and a short routine for auditions.

“The skills days will be very beneficial for auditions,” senior Eren Lewis said. “Learning all of the fundamental skills is super important and you will get a feel for what practices will be like.”

Anyone in grades 9 – 12 during the 2022 – 2023 school year will be able to audition. No experience is necessary. If there are any questions students can talk to a current guard member or e-mail coach Megan Watson at [email protected]
