LSW Softball Returns to the Diamond Two Days in a Row

All levels of LSW softball played Monday evening on Sept. 16 at Doris Bair Softball Complex. 

 

The reserve team lost to Lincoln Southeast High School 11-10. They will play Lincoln Northeast on Sept. 17 at Doris Bair Softball Complex at 6:30 p.m.

 

The JV softball team won their game against LSE 12-1. 

 

“I think it went really well. I think as a team we played really hard,” sophomore Kate Gansemer said. “I think for our next game we just have to get out there and play our hardest. I think this is a game that everybody’s looking forward to and it’ll be fun to get out there and play.”

 

On Sept. 17 at 5:00 p.m. the JV team will play Northeast High School at Doris Bair Softball Complex. 

LSW varsity softball played a double header on Sept. 16 against Lincoln Southeast. The girls won both games 13-5 and 14-9. 

 

“I think we played good defense and hit well,” sophomore Morgan Fine said. “We need to improve on situational things. Our goal next game is to hit well, get on base, and playing clean defense.” 

The varsity girls will play on Sept. 17 at 5:00 p.m. at Doris Bair Softball Complex against Lincoln Northeast.
