Lincoln Southwest students and teachers will be taking on term two finals next week, on Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20.

“I am confident [about finals] and excited to close the term out on a good note,” junior Drew Snyder said. “I’m ready to get done with my classes and get new classes next semester.”

Southwest will be operating on an alternate schedule next week on finals days. On Thursday, block one finals will go from 9:00-10:30 and block two finals from 10:45-12:15. On Friday, block three finals will take place from 9:00-10:30 and block four finals from 10:45-12:15.

In addition, both days will have pre-exam preparation from 7:50-8:55 and exam make-up from 12:15-3:30.

There are several tips and strategies each student uses to be successful on test day. However, there are several tips most students agree on such as avoiding procrastination.

“Studying a little bit every night is important,” senior Trevor Acton said. “You don’t want to put everything off until the last minute.”

Following finals, LSW students and staff will be on winter break until Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020. During this time final grades for final exams and classes will be posted on Synergy by the students’ teachers.
