FCCLA Celebrates Last Meeting of the Year

Family, Community, and Career Leaders of America held their last meeting of the decade on Thursday, Dec. 12th. Members had a scavenger hunt through the B100 forum, and then had a pizza party while decorating ornaments.

“It is my first year doing FCCLA,” freshman Alicia Schadl said. “I go to all the meetings and I plan on competing before I graduate.”

FCCLA houses many opportunities for students to compete at a high level. The Students Taking Action with Recognition competition offers many events for students to compete in, such as culinary arts and early childhood education. Additionally, students made the trek to Dallas, Texas for the National Fall Conference.

“This is my third year in the club,” senior Breanna Dove said. “My friend and I competed with a Halloween safety project and a food blitz competition the past few years.”

If you are interested in joining FCCLA or have any questions, stop by and see Mrs. Way or Ms. Geier in the B117 TPC.
